I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience working with individuals and families. Over the past five years, I've also had the opportunity to work closely with young adults as they navigated independence, identity, relationships, and family life.
Those conversations gave me a perspective that many parents never have the chance to experience. I began to notice patterns in what young adults wished their parents understood, alongside the fears, hopes, and misunderstandings that often exist on both sides of the relationship.
Again and again, I found myself wishing parents could hear what I was hearing.
That experience inspired me to create Lifespan Parenting.
